Call for Volunteers – World Heritage Volunteers, Heritage education for the younger generation in Viscri 2024

Alba Eglesia Foundation (www.albaeglesia.org) and its partners – Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation (www.mihaieminescutrust.ro), “Heritage for the Future” Cultural Association (www.patrimoniu-viitor.ro) & the Viscri Council  – are pleased to launch a new call for volunteers for the upcoming WHV Action Camp in Romania – Heritage Education for the Younger Generation in Viscri.

This initiative reaches its third edition in 2024. In 2022 and 2023, the volunteers contributed to improving tourists’ experience in the village, documenting itineraries, and collecting memories. Through heritage education, they also inspired the local younger generation into understanding cultural heritage preservation and its importance. Curious how that translated into practice? Have a look at their experience and feedback here. (2022 video summary) and here (2023 video summary).

This project is supported by the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO.

Interested in applying? Please carefully read the information below. The call for applications closes on June 30th, 2024.
